"Beautiful Dreamer" visiting the Amsterdam Canals

We made it to Amsterdam!  What a beautiful city.

These people have it right......relaxing in a boat, on a quiet canal, living the dream.

Amsterdam is the capital city of the Netherlands.  We chose a canal tour that brought us straight into the city core from the cruise ship.

It has more than 100 km of canals.

With 90 islands and 1500 bridges it is known as the "Venice of the North."

Bikes are everywhere.

An entire 'bike' parking lot.  Unbelievable.

Heading to Anne Frank's home.

This is an actual bike that can be rented.  I just couldn't talk Deb into riding in the shoe?

Such interesting homes along the canals.  Built tall and skinny with very steep ladder-like stairs to get from floor to floor.

Incredibly peaceful floating through the canals.  Sigh.

We can see them.....and they can see us.  Heading under a bridge of locals and tourists in Amsterdam.

Walking back to the ship after a great day in Amsterdam.
