Built in 597 but completely rebuilt between 1070 to 1077, it is one of the oldest and most famous Christian structures in England.

Heading towards the Crypt......but looks really creepy. Unfortunately for us, you could not visit or tour the church before of after the Evensong. Thus we missed seeing some most of the church. This is the oldest part of the cathedral.
The 12th century choir. We listened to an incredible Even Song which featured the famous Canterbury Boy's Choir. There has been a choral tradition at Canterbury Cathedral for over 1400 years. The boys are between ages 8-13.

A famous Archbishop named Thomas Becket was murdered in the church by Knights of King Henry II in the year 1170. The King had many conflicts with the Bishop and the Knights took it upon themselves to rid the King of him.
Canterbury's famous Bell Harry Tower completed in 1498.
